SkinZoe (Pty) Ltd is a South African technology company based in Johannesburg. We operate the SkinZoe website at skinzoeintelligence.co.za and are developing the SkinZoe mobile application. SkinZoe is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

Information the SkinZoe app will collect with consent
The information below is not collected by the current website forms. Before the app begins collecting it, SkinZoe will provide an updated notice, confirm retention periods and request consent where required.

How we use your information
For the current website, we use personal information to:
- Manage Founding Community registration.
- Communicate about the community and founding beta.
- Understand broad demand for the SkinZoe app.
- Deliver, secure and improve the website.
- Comply with applicable South African law.
When the SkinZoe app launches, information collected with consent will be used to personalise Zoe's guidance, build routines, track progress and improve SkinZoe using appropriately deidentified or aggregated insights. We will update this policy before those uses begin.
Your rights under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you may ask SkinZoe to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
- Provide access to personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Delete information we are no longer authorised or required to keep.
- Record an objection to certain processing.
- Stop future marketing or waitlist communication.
- Provide a usable copy of information where reasonably available.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Send requests to skinzoeintelligence@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator.
Data security
- The website uses HTTPS encryption for information in transit.
- Managed infrastructure and access controls help protect stored information.
- SkinZoe limits collection to what is needed for the stated purpose.
- The current website does not collect or store payment card details.
- Future skin images and sensitive information will require additional controls before launch.
No online system can guarantee absolute security. If a security compromise creates a risk to personal information, SkinZoe will investigate and notify the Information Regulator and affected people as soon as reasonably possible where POPIA requires it.
Children's privacy
The current Founding Community form is for people aged 18 or older. Please do not submit a child's personal information. Age and parental consent rules for the app will be published before launch.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as SkinZoe develops. We will place the current version and effective date on this page. If a change is material, we will provide an appropriate notice before it takes effect where reasonably possible and legally required.
Lawful processing
Depending on the purpose and context, SkinZoe processes personal information with consent, to take steps connected to an agreement, to meet a legal obligation, or where processing protects a legitimate interest permitted by POPIA. You may withdraw consent for future optional communication at any time.
